Little Seahorses

I'm wishing for a trip to the beach!

These little guys will have to do for now.

I die cut them from some old copper metallic paper in my stash and used the new
Stampin' Up! Seaside Embossing Folder.

The two seemed to go together perfectly.

I had found the chunky Frantage on sale and thought it would
work perfectly for the ocean floor.
I used a bit of Crystal Effects to stick the bits down.

Lots of texture, which I love.

Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenge this week is
Red, White and/or Blue
I have just the blue and white.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge
is inspiration this week.
I'm inspired by those waves!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  3. We'll be at our beach house rental on OBX the week of July 24th, so if you happen to be in the vicinity that week, feel free to drop in. We're right on the beach! Meanwhile, your sea horses are beautiful!

  7. I am not one bit surprised that you made the perfect sea horse card. Not too little and not too much - just right. Beautifully done. I am going to have to look into that embossing folder!
By the way Bonnie - we are having extremely hot weather here in Northern Florida - I would say hotter than usual. Thank the good Lord for air conditioning.

  10. Oh Loll, I turned down to go to the beach today and tomorrow. Wish I could have "given" it to you! I just wasn't up for a 4-5 hour ride for just a small amount of time there. Anyway, I just love your sweet beachy card! Those seahorses are just so dang cute and I love the texture of the "ocean" floor, and the embossing fold from SU is perfect! I hope you get to the ocean before summer ends my friend. Hugs, Brenda

  14. Love the 'ocean waves' and the coppery shade of the little seahorse looks so pretty against the blue. Wonderful sea sand too (wish I could frontage so well!). Good tip about the Crystal Effects - will be trying that. (have been using CE more lately than GA. My last GA effort resulted in crackling - which looked ok but wasn't my intention!) And it would just be miserably hot at the beach, so your way of conquering the beach urge, is much better!!! Hugs & TFS
