It's Merry Monday time.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Sue is our hostess at Merry Monday this week
and this is her challenge
Isn't that a pretty bird?
I used a Brusho background from my stash and stamped the Winterberry stamp on it
with red ink and went over the branches with a brown marker.
I die cut this little bird from a snippet of leftover inked and stamped background
that was also in my stash.
I added lots of Dazzling Details to the branches so they look very icy.
I'll take my snippets over to
Enjoy!
Card Recipe
Stamps: Winterberry (PB), Season's Wishes (PB)
Ink: Early Espresso, Real Red (SU), SU Markers (Real Red, Chocolate Chip)
Paper: Watercolor (Base card Strathmore 140 lb. cold press), Mixed Media (Strathmore)

ReplyDeleteWow, what a beautiful card Bonnie! Your brusho background is just so pretty. I really need to add some more colors to the ones I have and play some more with them. Your bird and bush is just stunning against that background. Sorry I've been MIA for so long. Thanks also for your kinds words on my blog. Yes, I do believe that Savannah was part of God's plan even if I didn't want her at the time. Funny how that goes! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty wee scene Bonnie, and the words are from one of my favourite carols, which makes the card appeal to me even more.

Bonnie, just beautiful and "wintery". Inspiration to use my brusho and other backgrounds! Thank you.
ReplyDeleteLove that sentiment with the bird in the bush, Bonnie. I've been playing with Brushos but haven't achieved a great panel like this - yet.
ReplyDeleteGreat Brusho background for your sweet little winter bird perched on the fabulous berry bushes. The branches look VERY icy, indeed. The brusho made a wonderful winter sky for this stamping! Great take on your challenge picture. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteThis is SO pretty Bonnie! I love how you inked up the Winterberry stamp in red and then went over it with a brown marker for the branches...I have this stamp also and have always made such a muddy mess with it! I will definitely try it your way next time!! :0) Hope you're having a great week!!
