Wow! We were so happy to see all your gorgeous entries in last month's
CAS Watercolour Challenge!
We were overwhelmed with how many of you wished to join our DT Team!
I wish we could have picked all of you, but we couldn't.
We hope the team we have built will inspire you, and
we hope you will continue to join our challenge and
add your inspiration to the gallery.
Our November Challenge is
I know this is on the edge of being CAS (Clean and Simple), but I've had this
beautiful stamp for ages and really wanted to use it for my DSIL's birthday.
And since the image is quite large, the card is a bit larger than usual (4 1/2" x 6").
She likes red. So I placed the stamp in my MISTI
and inked the flower with Festive Berries Distress Stain and stamped.
I moved the color around with my Aqua Painter, then repeated the process
using Barn Door Distress Stain.
Then I used a Fired Brick Distress Marker to ink the outside of the flowers
and between the petals. I did this several times until I was happy with the image.
I inked the leaves with Peeled Paint Distress Stain and the stems with
the matching marker. After moving the color around with my Aqua Painter,
I used a Forest Moss Distress Marker on the outside edges of the leaves
and stamped.
When it was dry, I added a light wash of Antique Linen and
stamped the script randomly with the same ink.
I hope Jean will enjoy her card as much as I enjoyed making it.
Now it's your turn to add some text to your CAS Watercolour card and share it in our gallery.
Our Design Team is all in place now so do check out their beautiful inspiration pieces.
Enjoy!

I think this card is perfectly CAS as it is a stamp that needs nothing else other than your pretty watercolouring Bonnie. The background is beautifully soft which complements the orchid but doesn't compete with it. A wonderful card. x
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card to inspire us with. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteJean is going to love her card made with so much love. Your technique takes time with all the repeat stamping, but so worth the effort. I love how your wash and text stamping give your beautiful flower so much dimension.
