It's Day 4 of Loll's Tag Event
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
I'm still trying to empty out use up some of the bits and pieces in my Christmas UFO Box.
It seems like everyday it gets fuller instead of emptier!?!
Today's tag uses some die cut pine from last week's class. I had a few pieces left over.
First I held a tag punched with the Elegant punch that's been on the Clearance Rack
against a snippet of white that was a bit wider and had been splattered with gold.
I carefully cut around the shaped top cutting it just a bit bigger.
I dry embossed some more pine at the top and ended up with a crease. Yikes!
So I extended the crease to make a score line.
I thought two would look a little better, so I scored again.
Saved!
My mixed media are stamping, dry embossing, splatter and die cuts.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Lovely, lovely tag Bonnie! I just ordered that EF Tuesday night at club and am excited to get it and play! And I love the 2 scored lines that resulted from the oops...GREAT save! :0)
ReplyDeleteOh yes many an oops has been saved with my scor pal. Especially when making envelopes and I have used the wrong letter for the scor line. . I love the pine leaves. Hugs Mrs A.
ReplyDeleteLOVE this CAS Mixed Media tag design Bonnie. Great save with the dry embossed background. The score lines look perfect! Love the texture from the dry embossing and the die-cuts with embossing. Very beautiful. Thanks for sharing with my tag event! xx
ReplyDeleteI love your tag Bonnie ...... great save with the embossed lines. Love the festive die cuts too xx
ReplyDeleteI love the die cut pine cone and branches with that adorable red ribbon, over the top of the white dry embossed pine branch background Bonne. The double line works perfectly with the sentiment underneath, who would have known this was never meant to be. A really beautiful tag. x
ReplyDeleteWOW! The texture on that pine cone just captivated me, Bonnie! Wow, no clue how you got the white highlights but whatever you did is just fabulous! I giggled about the score lines only because I think we all did that at some point! You'd never know it was an accident though since they look great on this! The twine is the perfect finishing touch!
ReplyDeleteAlways love when you use greenery. Love the 'save', Clever you. It's beautiful and love the snow on the pinecone! TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteLove your CAS beauty Bonnie. Your textures and dimension really pop on your white background. TFS my friend. Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteWell saved, no-one would know if you hadn't confessed. Another trick to add to my way of saving things! I especially like the fact that you've used embossed and cut leaves here.
ReplyDeleteYour save with the score lines look like it's meant to be there! I've used the same trick. Lovely tag with a great sprig of greenery and pine cone, and perfect accents of red with the ribbon and sentiment.
ReplyDeletep.s. I think UFOs secretly breed in our craft rooms at night!
I love the addition of the gold splatters and the score lines. The perfect backdrop for the beautiful Christmas foliage. The pinecone is amazing!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful tag Bonnie! Nice save from the crease, I love the dry embossing of the pine boughs to the lines. Makes a nice look on this tag! Love the beautiful green pine boughs too and that pinecone just finishes it off perfectly. Love the pop of red with the ribbon and sentiment. The splashes of gold drops brings a touch of elegance to this beautiful tag. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteOh I see what you mean about the crease (about how it got there) GREAT save to add another so it looked deliberate. I really like the pine set so I like seeing it in action. This is a great tag. As for your box of UFOs multiplying... well, suddenly everything in my room multiplied! EEK!
