Even though I'm not on the Design Team at Merry Monday anymore,
I still need to get those Christmas cards done.
This week challenge is hosted by Colleen
I didn't use this little reindeer last year so I was determined to show him some love.
Unfortunately this die doesn't provide any antlers for this little guy.
I used my holly punch as a base and cut some out.
I had been playing with my alcohol inks and the background is a piece from my play.
I added drops of alcohol inks directly to Yupo paper.
Loll did a fantastic tutorial on this technique.
I used Copper Mixative so I used a piece of metallic
copper cardstock from my stash to die cut the reindeer.
His antlers were cut from a snippet of hammered gold paper.
Since I used alcohol ink which is a liquid color, I'll add this to
the CAS Mix Up gallery
Using Stamping, Alcohol Inks (liquid colour), and Die Cutting for my choice.
He's going to CHILL OUT with
Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge too
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Bonnie! It's too bad the photo doesn't show that exquisite sheen from the copper and way to go making your own set of antlers!! I love your inky Yupo background, too. I still have to try it with the Yupo papeer some day ... over the rainbow ... Hugs, Darnell

ReplyDeleteSo clever to use that MS punch to make the antlers - I never would have guessed that's what it was. Love the mini reindeer! I have the big version of it. Also love the AI piece and the way you added interest by framing it with that die (I just bought it but haven't used it yet).
