Fun Little Totebag

I don't usually do anything but cards.

You see I have a problem when it comes to folding and gluing.

I usually end up with the strangest shapes.

But a while back, my friend Karen (Snippets) posted the most adorable little bag.

She included the video she went by to make her bag.

LeeAnn Gref did the video and she made it look easy enough for me to try.

Fast forward to this week and Karen is the host for the Technique Lovers Challenge at SCS.

I just happened to have this totebag waiting in the wings for a chance to hop on my blog.

It does look a bit wonky, but I think it's because of the camera (wink).

I'm going to make some more of these.

I'm hoping they'll be as easy as this one was and I don't end up with something odd!

Maybe I can reduce some of that pretty paper I've been hoarding.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  1. Well, I'm missing the 'wonky' part of the bag! I think it's beautiful. Love the pretty paper pattern with the solid of the handles & top trim. Had to read the post to see it was a paper bag! Thought you'd gotten a new summer purse! This is just cute as can be. Now, what are you going to 'carry in it'? I don't do boxes & cards, but I always admire the effort that goes into the precise cutting, folding and glue-ing, that is required to make these projects. Took one small box class (make it from a 12x12) and decided I'm not that patient! Kudos to you for making this sweet little goodie! Can't wait to see the next ones. TFS & Hugs (thanks for the video link too. I'm more patient at watching someone else make one!!!)

  3. Oooh, yes, I've seen these too Bonnie, and, like you, I'm no good with three dimensional items (although for the life of me, I can see nothing wrong with this beauty! I LOVE it!! Maybe I might actually give it a go now? . . . Mmmm, or, maybe not! I'll have to revisit the video! Have a wonderful weekend my friend! Luv n’ Hugs. Hazel xx

  13. This tote is so adorable! I don't see wonkiness but if it's there it is part of the charm. I have a friend who is always trying to get me to make things instead of cards. This is one she tried to tempt me with.
