It's time for a new challenge at CAS Watercolour.
Our challenge this month is perfect for spring cards!
I used a NBUS Penny Black stamped with Spun Sugar on watercolor paper.
This time I used the textured side.
Then I inked the flowers again with Spun Sugar and stamped.
I repeated the process until the color was dark enough for me to pull some color into the petals.
I smooshed some Distress ink on my palette and picked the color up
with my Aqua Painter to add more color.
When I was somewhat satisfied with the petals, I inked the center of the flowers
with a Picked Raspberry marker and stamped again.
I used a marker to ink the branches and outlined the leaves
with a green marker, then pulled the green into the leaves with the Aqua Painter.
For the layout I scored some lines on a snippet of white and added
to the side of the design with a tiny strip of Razzleberry.
I hope you'll come and join us at CAS Watercolour!
Our Design Team and Guest Designer, Marcia have lots of wonderful inspiration for you.

Gorgeous cherry blossoms, Bonnie. TFS all your layers of watercolouring. I know watercolour layering takes more time, but the results are so beautiful. TFS my friend. Hugs..
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card - wonderful colours and I love the stamp! xxx
ReplyDeleteLovely image (and do I have this?probably!) Your coloring is so delicate, yet the pink outlines show so clearly. It's hard to stamp on w/c texture paper, and I bet the Misti was a big help in this process. This certainly says "spring" to my eyes, and as always, just lovely. TFS & Hugs
