Hello dear friends.
My friend Nance (Soul Stampin') came to play a while ago and
brought this stamp to share with me.
One of my favorite flowers is blue hydrangeas.
After watercoloring this flower, I read the name on the stamp and realized
it's supposed to be a rhododendron.
You'll have to wait to see the Rhododendron which is also one of my favorites.
The Flower Challenge is celebrating their 1st Birthday this month!
Happy Birthday to one of my favorite challenges!
I love their new badge!
Their Design Team have shared some beautiful flowers for inspiration and the
gallery is a garden of beautiful blooms.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Since I'm not really sure what Rhodendrons look like anyway, I'll buy Hydrangea! Looks much like a couple of stamps I have that say Hydrangea too! Whatever you call it, it's a pretty stamp, and just awesome watercolor looks. Oh, wish I could w/color this well! Glad you had fun with a crafty pal. That doubles the pleasure of making a card, doesn't it? TFS &Hugs (getting a cool couple of days.Nights in the mid 40-s...more like October)
ReplyDeleteSo beautifully coloured and so very realistic and just think you can get more mileage out of the stamp and call it a hydrangea or rhododendron !
ReplyDeleteWhatever it is, it's beautiful Bonnie! I must confess that I usually get those two beautiful, blousy flowers mixed up! So, whatever you had called it, I wouldn't have known any better! ;) Have a lovely day! Love & Hugs. Hazel xx

ReplyDeleteCalling the mountains of North Carolina home, I do love Rhodendrons. As I write this, I can see the flowers so clearly. Your cards are always so lovely Bonnie.

Well who would have thought? I would have said it's a hydrangea too, especially after your so beautiful colouring, a Beautiful card.

Beautiful flower in my favourite colour - I think that stamp could equally be a hydrangea as a rhododendron - very versatile! Love the stitched frame around it.
ReplyDeleteYour beautifully colored flower looks like a hydrangia to me my friend, but could be a rhodie too, but in a different color:-) TFS Bonnie. Hugs
ReplyDeleteA big WOW on your watercoloring, Bonnie! Someday watercoloring and I will become friends- I hope. This is just amazing and what a gorgeous image. How beautifully you managed your white space adding such wonderful highlights to the petals. Outstanding!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully coloured, I love this stamp (flower) one of my favourites. Thank you so much for joing us at The Flower Challenge Aileen DT
ReplyDeleteLooks like a hydrangea to me. :) Beautifully watercoloured Bonnie. xx
ReplyDeleteGorgeous coloring on this beautiful image Bonnie, Rhododendrons are often confused with Hydrangeas, it might be because of their clusters of small flowers.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card, thank you for sharing with us at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE and good luck.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.DT
Bonnie I have never seen a rhododendron look so much like an hydrangea that it had me fooled. Another beautiful card, regardless of the name on the stamp :-)

Bonnie is another of your master cards. No matter if it's hydrangea or rhododendron. This card is stunning. In June I was at a wedding, where the main ornament in both the wedding bride and the bridegroom was a hydrangea in such a color. Great card that reminds me of that wedding :-)

Stunningly beautiful Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteWhatever it's called, it's lovely, Bonnie.
