It's time for a challenge I look forward to every year.
Loll's Tag Challenge
For this challenge, requirements for "Mixed Media" are stamping, plus two mixed media elements (techniques or products). The theme is Christmas. Tags only please!
Here's my first tag.
I have stamping, coloring with Copics, tissue paper embossing and cardboard.
I've taken everything suitable for a tag from my Christmas UFO box.
I'm hoping to get lots of tags made from that.
The cardboard was already die cut and the Santa was colored and waiting to make an appearance.
I found a snippet of embossed tissue paper, (technique by Loll here)
and die cut it with a smaller die from this set.
A little thick baker's twine in Cherry Cobbler finished it off.
Now let's see what else I found in that box.....
Challenges:
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Fantastic tag, Bonnie. So many wonderful techniques use on this small piece of art!! Love the corrugated card background ... and the shape is so pretty! And Santa looks right at home on the crinkled tissue paper backing. So fresh with this colour combo of white, red and kraft! Thanks for joining my tag event!! xx

ReplyDeleteI love the vintage, yet modern look of your Santa tag, Bonnie. How fun to get all your pieces from your UFO box:-) I love how you colored your santa and your corrugated and tissue layers. All perfect for Loll's challenge. TFS my friend. Hugs
ReplyDeleteOh My Gosh, I should have waited for everyone to inspire me because this is fantastic and I guess I wasn't thinking of all the different techniques (like that awesome tissue paper technique that we did back this summer...I loved that one!) Your tag is so stunning I love that Santa! Heart Hugs, col

WOW...I love this tag Bonnie! Love that you started the whole tag with cardboard (one of my new favorite things to use!!) and love the tissue tag behind the beautifully colored Santa image too. I even like the way you tied your twine! Love, LOVE this tag!! :0)
ReplyDeleteThis amazing way of exposing Santa! Corrugated cardboard is very modest and in comparison with metallized tissue it looks stunning. The colorful figure of the Santa is on the forefront. I love your tag, Bonnie.

ReplyDeleteAw, I love this fun folk Santa with the wood texture of that sled. Clever you to make the sled from corrugated paper, it's very tactile. Just absolutely cute as can be, and love your idea...the sled made a terrific tag! TFS & Hugs
