I haven't got around to comment on many of your cards and I miss visiting with you.
I feel like the Christmas season gets busier every year. Maybe I'm just slowing down.
This video by Jill Foster convinced me that I really needed this stamp!
I CASEd her card, changing it up just a bit.
Then it got set aside.
In pulling out some UFOs, I found the base of this card.
Evidently I didn't like the design and had pulled it off the front.
This design piece landed close and gave me an aha moment!
I stamped the tree on mixed media paper and heat embossed.
Using an Aqua Painter, I picked up ink from the lids of my ink pads
to color the tree.
The background was sponged then stamped with the pine branches.
I'll enter this with my friends at Merry Monday where Debbie is hosting a color challenge.
I actually have 4 of the colors, light green, dark green, red and blue.
I hope that's OK. If not, my apologies ladies.
I hope you are finding the time to enjoy preparations for Christmas.
Enjoy!

Love that PB tree stamp and how you set it off with the pine branches and sponged background. A different and modern looking card. So-o-o one week from today, all our prep and efforts will be paying off.

ReplyDeleteThat's a very cool stylized tree and I just love what you've done with it Bon-Bon! For sure I know I'm slowing down at last and just can't keep up like I used to do, especially during the holidays, but I think (hope) everyone understands! Happy Holiday Hugs! Dolly
ReplyDeleteI'm definitely busy right now!! On top of all my usual activities, I am baking and making last minute cards. And looking forward to the week between Christmas and New Year when very little is happening - some good books and pots of tea are on my agenda for that week! Love your card - it has such a wonderful soft feeling to it.
ReplyDeleteSuch a gorgeous tree, Bonnie. Love the watercolouring and the soft blue background with branches. xx

ReplyDeleteOMG Bonnie, that's stunning, I love that beautiful stylized stamp. The touch of watercolouring is spectacular.
ReplyDeleteLove this pretty image, and in your hands, each time I see you use the image, it looks different and so spectacular! Love the shades of green with the white embossing, and of course the soft background. The greenery around the upper edges enhances the design, and the sparkle of the red ornaments...very WOW! Merry Christmas and best for 2018. TFS & Hugs
ReplyDeleteThis stylised tree is so pretty Bonnie and I can see why you need this stamp. The pine branches frame it beautifully and the red of the gems/baubles goes perfectly with the background red card...a great aha moment. x
