Sweet Valentine

Hello.  I'm glad you could stop by.

Today I'm back to sharing a Valentine.

Little Monica is on her way to wish my aunt a happy Valentine's Day.

I remember a visit to this aunt when I was a little girl.  She had a shoebox
with a nest of baby mice in it.  My mother was not impressed, but I was.
I wonder if Aunt Marian remembers that nest of baby mice?

I found the design in my Valentine box and decided it was
high time to put it on a card.

I believe it was colored with Copics. I really can't remember.

I popped her in a peek-a-boo frame, stamped and sentiment
and winked the heart!

I'm going to take her over to
where the challenge is
***ANYTHING GOES***
with the option of Sweets or Hearts.
I can't find this stamp online so I'm thinking it might be discontinued.
I hope it's OK to enter it anyway.

A quick question???
Do you hate it when I use stuff that's not available to buy anymore?

I'm going to enter too at
Inkspirational

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  1. There was probably nothing cuter than a box of baby mice - as long as they stayed in the box!
I'm definitely in LOVE with your card! Super cute.

  2. We don't care if it's old or new and we're always happy to see a House Mouse creation. This is just adorable. Another image I've never seen and I love it. It's a great CAS card. Love your story about the shoebox of mice. I would have liked those, too. Thank you for joining us at House Mouse and Friends Monday challenge.{Bunny} Designer for House Mouse and Friends

p.s.- I don't mind when you use old stuff. It makes me run to eBay! to see if someone has one to give up!

  7. I found that HM stamp on ebay this morning. I snatched it up. I love HM images.

It doesn't matter to me if things aren't available anymore. There are a lot of items in my stash that aren't made anymore. I still have a few BG papers I am holding on to.

  12. I don't hate that, Bon-Bon. Since a lot of schtuff of mine is unavailable now, I can hardly complain when I see outdated product used! I think people get the "design" ideas from our cards to go off and make their own cards using similar products they have on hand. At least that's what I do; rarely do I want copy the exact card. YKWIM? Sometimes I wish I could have the stamp, but if it isn't available, it makes me think harder about what I have on hand that I could use effectively to create a similar design.

Your adorable card here is a perfect example ... any little cute critter would work through any aperture window and any sweet sediment would work. It's a classic design to keep in one's design book. You know up in one's hamster's head!

BTW, someone is doing an aperture challenge. Hold on a sec. Found it. It's Inkspirational, so this would fit there! Hugs, Dolly

  13. So as not to repeat just reread Darnell's comment about using 'out of production' stamps, Bonnie. That's how I feel too. Your darling little mouse is similar to one I have and I wondered what I'd do with him because he is so small but putting him in the peekaboo like you did would solve the problem. Thanks for the inspiration.
