Happy Holly Days Watercolor

Hello and welcome.

When I saw Loll's watercolor holly card, it made me think of
a piece I had in my UFO box.  So another UFO finds a home.

I had stamped the small holly from the Hero Arts Happy Holly Days set,
heat embossed with white, and did a loose, wet on wet watercolor.

One of the holly bunches didn't look so good.

A circle die took care of that.

I embossed a larger circle with a Hero Arts Infinity Die
and adhered the design to it.

Since most of the work was done, this was pretty quick.

Choosing the twine took longer than anything else!

I'm joining in at
where Mo and friends host an
ANYTHING GOES FOR CHRISTMAS challenge
every month on the 25th thru the end of the month.
A great way to build that stash of Christmas cards.

Our oldest daughter, Jenny is on a mission trip in Zambia.
Actually I think the children at the Agape Village Orphanage are
ministering to her!  She is writing about their time together on
the Agape Village Blog.  Today's post made me cry....tears of joy.

God is good!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  8. Good looking card -- I like the soft watercolouring against the strong green mat -- you make it all look easy but it takes lots of skill and experience as I am patiently (??) learning!

  10. I made a New Year's Resolution to use one piece from my UFO box each week but I'm not doing so well at sticking to it!! But your lovely card has reminded me to try and do it. Great loose watercolouring - so pretty with the white heat embossing. And nice contrast having the green panel. Isn't it great when we can use die cutting to deal with the not-so-good bits?

I sorted out my UFO box this morning, I'd forgotten most of it was in there. LOL! I must actually get round to using some of it. xx

  22. I'm smiling Bonnie as I've been digging in my UFOs too - I often stamp two images so I've one ready for when I just want to colour and relax. You're holly card is just lovely and again you're not alone with some little 'cover ups'. I also read your daughters post and marvel at the love and energy some Christian works share... I can hear that song in my head, it was one of my fav at Sunday School many years ago. Have a lovely Easter hugs, your daughter is very special
