Blog Hop:
Me (you're here)
This stamp brings back memories of learning to type. I learned on a typewriter
that was very similar to this one.
I stamped this image on a piece of splash watercolor with Versafine ink
and heat embossed with clear powder. It gave the machine a shiny look
like the one I learned on.
I added a bit of watercolor to the surrounding images and used
a marker to color the pencils and flowers.
The sentiment is from Serendipity too.
I love the pretty font.
It's been fun joining in the Serendipity Blog Hop!
Thanks for the invitation Mary, and the warm
welcome from the other hoppers.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteCOOL card Bonnie! LOVE the black and white with just a touch of color from your water colors! The year I learned typing in school we had all brand new electric typewriters and they were all turquoise...I'm sure the guys all loved that! Funny how that memory just popped into my head after seeing your card! :0)
ReplyDeleteI love the way you used this typewriter stamp, Bonnie, and fun that it reminds you of the one you learned to type one. I love the light water color you added to your card with just a bit of red, love that!
ReplyDeleteHow pretty, Bonnie! Love the light wash of color w/ the splashes of red here & there. How fun that you learned on a typewriter! I tried to take typing, but I only lasted a day, lol.
ReplyDeleteFun artsy card. Great colour palette. xx
ReplyDeleteBrings back memories for me too - my Mum insisted I take typing in grade 10 (she didn't want to end up typing my essays for me!!) and we learned on old typewriters like this one. Love the black and white with just the little bits of red and pale blue. Perfect sentiment for it too!
ReplyDeleteVery cool! I swear my dad had this very typewriter. :-)
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for joining us Bonnie! And great idea to emboss the typewriter to get the shine!
ReplyDeleteWhat a SUPER image, and a great sentiment. Love this card Bonnie.
