It's time for a new challenge at
CAS Watercolour
This month, Loll is hosting the challenge.
How fun is that?
I've had this Ironwork Background stamp for a long time.
It wasn't in my NBUS box, but I don't remember ever using it.
I could be wrong though.
I stamped and heat embossed the image onto Mixed Media paper.
To watercolor, I smooshed some Distress Ink onto a small piece of acetate,
spritzed with water and pressed it onto the embossed piece.
You can see a tutorial for this on Karen's Snippets Blog.
I repeated this process using different colors and blending them together
a bit with the brush, sometimes drying in between colors.
When it was all dry, I die cut the piece and added the
Memory Box butterfly and sentiment.
(The black outline butterfly has a solid die cut of vellum underneath.)
Our Design Team has a beautiful variety of rainbow watercolor cards
to inspire you. We are joined this month by our talented
Guest Designer, Hannelie (Desert Diva).
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

Those bright rainbow colours are so perfectly dosed. Then the black adds to the card without stealing that beautiful rainbow. Definitely my kind of card. xx

WOW, that embossed background is gorgeous and so is your ink smooshing! I sometimes move my NBUS stuff out of its box cause I feel guilty seeing such a HUGE pile when I want to order more stuff... I'm not saying you do it too but... :))) Hugs, Gwendolyn
