Rainbow Thank You

Hello friends.  I'm so glad you stopped by.

A sweet friend gave me this Thank You die last year and I think it's
about time I got around to using it!

I'm in need of some thank you cards so it was a good time to break the
die out of the NBUS box!

I've die cut from black cardstock and white cardstock.

On this card, I inlaid the black die cut into the white out cut.
Or it is cut out?  I'm always confused as to which is which.

I've mounted it on a background piece that I had pressed
a paper that had been used to mop up some rainbow colors.

I spritzed the towel and laid it on a piece of cardstock.

I thought this little butterfly looked nice on the rainbow circle.

Here's another card using this die.

This time I layered white cardstock die cuts and kept the circle and embossed it.

The rainbow was done by smooshing ink on a 1 1/2" x 4" acrylic block,
spritzing and stamping on watercolor paper.

I used a frame and some foam on the back of the design as well
as a few sequins to finish off the card.

  5. Love the contrast in creativity between the 2 cards! Interesting examples that being creative has endless possibilities. The butterfly is such a nice addition and like the scoring and black strip. Second card is a beautiful rainbow of colors...literally. Like the different looks of inlaid vs. layered die cuts.

  15. Both rainbow thank-you cards are so pretty, Bonnie!
The black circle die-cut sentiment and the butterfly look great with the soft rainbow color center circle. The black strip at the bottom is a great accent and strikes a good balance design-wise.
You did a fantastic job with the rainbow strips on the second card! The colors blend so beautifully. The embossed textural pattern on the center circle is very interesting! Hideko xx

What a great die and I love how you've used it on both cards Bonnie - the first is so clean with the blackon the white - nice design with the black strip on the bottom and the colorful panel behind your butterfly! and then the background takes the lead on your 2nd card with the rainbow colors and the die cut in the white!
