Hello. We're over halfway through our CAS Christmas Challenge.
This month our talented Christine is hosting our challenge...
I've use a Santa from this fun set by Birdie Brown.
I love these Santas and they are such fun to color.
I've used some embossing paste through a stencil to look
like writing on the note paper.
The little presents from the set came in handy to hide an oops
from some wandering sparkle paste. It looked good on Santa's beard
but not so good on the red card base.
The red card base by the way is my "white space".
The Design Team, along with our Guest Designer, Pam, have some
fun inspirational pieces to share with you.
I hope you'll check them out and join the fun!
While I was at it, I decided to put one of these Santas on a tag for
My mixed media are Stamping, Copic Coloring, Dry Embossing and Die Cutting.

ReplyDeleteLove the Santa image and what a fun idea to use the stencil text to emulate santas list......love the red as the white and great save with the little parcels. Fun card and fabulous tag Bonnie, thank you for the amazing inspiration X
ReplyDeleteLove the way you depicted Santa's list with the embossing paste writing and the spiral notebook die in the background! Such a cute Santa too - great sparkle on him, and great save with the little presents to cover up the straying sparkle! Love the co-ordinating tag too.
ReplyDeleteSuch cute Santa card and tag, Bonnie! I LOVE your clever idea that you put a white note leaf as a backdrop and dry embossed it so that it looks like the list the Santa is holding! I would have never guessed sparkle paste is behind the gift boxes. Great fix. ;-) The dome-shaped tag and the brick wall embossing are pretty too!

I missed seeing your card when I commented on the tag. Another adorable Santa, Bonnie. I spy another set added to my wish list. Great layout on this. I particularly like the notebook type panel behind Santa miming the list he is reading. Great card and looks like it was fun to do!

Your embossed card from the notebook looks perfect as a background for this sweet Santa. Great color contrast, beautiful CAS card.
ReplyDeleteThis Santa also looks great on the tag. Thank you for such an amazing inspiration.

These two are so very special. The first is my favourite, the dry embossing with Santa’s note tells the story. Your colours are bright and strong, both are beautiful xxx
