Bloomin Beautiful Thanks

Hello.  Are you deep into Christmas preparations?

Our halls are decked, cards are in the mail and our girls and
grandkids come tomorrow for Cookie Day.

I needed some stamping therapy!

So I found took a few minutes to make a card.

I used an old wood block stamp for my watercolor flower.

Simple and sweet.

I've stamped with a permanent ink and colored with Zigs.

The wash was done by smooshing some Distress ink on my palette
and picking up the ink with a damp waterbrush.  I wet the background
and dropped the color onto it, moving it around with my brush.

I die cut and popped the image on a piece of foam for dimension
and it was done.

I'm joining in at
I used an old retired Stampin' Up! stamp.

Anything Goes with Stamping

and there's still about a week to join in at
Challenge closes on December 15th.

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  2. Ahhh, stamping therapy...just what we all probably need about now! Love the card, particularly the placement of the image panel off center; the sentiment on both sides of the stem; and the flower colored in such pretty bright pinks.

  9. Hello Bonnie: I'm so glad you used this beautiful Stampin' Up! set from way back in 2008, it was one of the very first sets I bought.
I love the soft, beautiful background you created for this lovely bloom, one of my treasured SU sets.
Thank you for sharing with us at THE FLOWER CHALLENGE, hope you play again soon.
    Hugs.

  10. Love this sweet flower and that stitched mat. Beautiful water color. I'm making progress toward Christmas. Envelopes addressed, stamped and most cards finished. Tree is up and all the gifts are here. I just finished my tags and gifts for the Stampin Up ladies I craft with. I had to get those done for our last craft day before Christmas. Now I can get my cards in the mail and make tags for our gifts so I can wrap them. Have to have that done since my granddaughter is coming Wed. to make the rest of her cards.

  16. This is truly a beauty, Bonnie! The lovely pink flower looks more lovely with the thin black trim. The pierced framing is a nice touch. And I know you're tire of hearing this, but I must say again - your watercoloring is amazing! I hope you're enjoying Cookie Day with your daughters and grandkids today.

Thank you for the lovely Christmas card which arrived yesterday. I love the sparkly white pine needles; I've never thought of cutting them from white but I should since my pine tree is often covered in white!
