Hello friends. I hope you are not in the deep freeze anymore
and maybe enjoying some nice weather like we are.
I noticed a daffodil has bloomed in my yard. Spring isn't far off now.
And neither is Valentine's Day.
I love this ribbon heart from Poppystamps and die cut it from some red foil.
It looks like it's made from satin ribbon if you use your imagination.
It's atop a piece of French script that I hope says something romantic.
Or at least nothing offensive...
I think this works for this month's Poppystamps Challenge
and Just us Girls
LOVE
Enjoy!

I love that ribbon heart Bonnie and it looks FABULOUS against the scripty background! Lovely, lovely card!! We're in the midst of another ice storm (last week was over 2 feet of snow and the artic blast) and tree's and power is down everywhere...over 140,000 people without power in my neck of the woods, but thankfully we still have ours! Internet has been coming and going though so I'm trying to type fast before it goes out again! Hopefully calmer weather next week although we won't see any daffodils till early April up here! Enjoy yours though!! :0)
ReplyDeleteYour red foil ribbon heart is so beautiful and elegant Bonnie. Love it with the silver cording. Look fantastic over top of the soft script background ... never thought I should have my script stamp translated before using, but now you have me questioning what it really says! :) Bruce is going to love this card! ... or is it for one of the girls?? xx
ReplyDeleteI love that heart die and the little bow finishes it off beautifully xx
ReplyDeleteSo unique - you have the best ideas!
ReplyDeleteA daffodil? It's kind of early. When I lived in Asheville, we had snow many times the first of April!!

This is just beautiful with the foil heart and silver cord. Oh dear, now I'm wondering what my script stamp says. Let's assume (sometimes a really bad idea to assume) the sentiment is a lovely, sweet one when we use it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Bonnie, love that background and then that heart die! Never saw one like that before and it is just beautiful. The silver bow adds another element to this beautiful card. We did warm up all this week, one day we got to 64! But now the temps are dropping and the wind is howling. Back to the low temps and teens at night. Brrrrr, I'm so ready for spring. lol Soon it will be here. I notice that some green stems of daffodils are coming up in my neighbor flower bed which is par for Feb. So spring isn't to far off thankfully. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteLovely romantic card, Bonnie! You've inspired me to get out my French Script again...
ReplyDeleteStunning card Bonnie! love the beautiful CAS design, makes me wish I could create CAS style.

That is the coolest heart die I've ever seen! At first glance I really thought you created that with ribbon. What an impact cutting it from red foil too, making it look all the more real. This is one, awesome Valentine!
ReplyDeleteSo “love”ly, Bonnie. Love the embossed framing. And even if the French script background says something offensive, It would still look beautiful. 😂 xx
ReplyDeleteYes, the beautiful heart die-cut does look like satin ribbon heart, Bonnie! The script background makes the card look so elegant and the silver ribbon is a great embellishment. Love the combination of the straight lines/rectangles and the curvy elements!

Yes I love the die too and now it's on my wish list. The script behind looks great and what a wonderful design and such a romantic card x.
ReplyDeleteNo daffodils here, Bonnie. In fact another snowstorm is headed our way. Or maybe two snowstorms. I love the shape of that heart and it's beautiful in foil.
ReplyDeleteI love this card! The ribbon heart really does look like shiny ribbon - great idea to cut it in foil. The French script adds to the romantic feeling. This is the nicest Valentine I've seen this year.
ReplyDeletelove this.
