Maybe you can play at CAS Christmas this weekend.
Trina is our host this month and she chose
I love these little owls with their stockings hung and waiting for Santa!
I've stamped the scene in Jet Black Archival ink and
used Zigs to watercolor the image. I let it dry and using wet on wet
technique, I painted some Tumbled Glass in the background.
There's a little timid splatter of snow.
How will you hang your stocking?
Our Guest Designer, Helen, and our Design Team
have some awesome inspiration pieces for you.
Check them out at CAS Christmas.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

I have that stamp (and love it) so was going to use it for this challenge but you and Loll beat me to it! Wonderful traditional festive colours, great framing, and a perfect watercolour wash background. I had to laugh when you described your "timid scattering of snow" whereas Loll described putting her owls in a blizzard!
ReplyDeleteWho would not love these adorable owls with their little stockings! They are so beautifully done with Zigs too! Those little faces are just too cute. What a fun card, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteOh, my gosh, you and Loll, both, have Christmas owls and they're so darn cute! I love this! They look like a wonderful, sweet family!

Bonnie, I had to do a double take because Loll did owls on the branch too...so clever! And you used watercolor also! Even though the owls are different they too are just as cute as can bee. What a fun stamp set and love all the stockings hanging from the branch!
ReplyDeleteA great scene with sweet birds. I love how you painted a picture with watercolors. The touch of color is delicate and it looks wonderful.

Bonnie, such a sweet Owl family sitting on the branch. And the stockings hanging from it. Hope you have a great week.
ReplyDeleteThese little owls are so adorable, Bonnie! Your Zig watercoloring is so beautiful! The feathers look soft and fluffy! I would make a blotch, probably while coloring the third owl's belly. ;-P
ReplyDeleteYour sky with a subtle splatter of snow looks beautiful too!
Hideko xx
It's so fun that you and Lolly both used owls for your cute images, Bon-Bon! The weather is nicer where your family lives, lol, but like Lolly's your family is colored perfectly!! Hugs, Darnell
