Today is a special day.
It's my dear friend Loll's birthday.
A few years ago I wished her happy birthday on my blog and had the wrong date.
I've been afraid to do that again so I've kept quiet.
But this year I'm throwing caution to the wind.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR FRIEND!
While at the retreat, Trina let me use her new Memory Box Rose Bouquet stamp.
I stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with white powder,
then with some borrowed Zigs, I colored. What a wonderful image to color!
I used part of the image for this card and embossed the sentiment on vellum.
I couldn't not use the other part of the image....
Hmmm. I'm thinking I need this stamp in my collection.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

This is one amazing image ... thank you for the Birthday Wishes, dear friend. You have the date right this year!! :) LOVE this card ... it's even more amazing in real life. The colours are so vibrant and such a pretty mix of flowers. The vellum sentiment banner is just perfect. Thank you again for this lovely card!!
ReplyDeleteAnd what a fabulous second card from the same set. Wonderful design and again, perfect colouring to create a bright and happy card. xx
Two beautiful cards using this pretty floral stamp set and the colours are just gorgeous, and a great idea to use the vellum for the sentiment on the first so that it doesn't detract from the gorgeous flowers. The three quarter circle frame works well on the second too, and love the style of the sentiment. What a wonderful card for Loll too to wish her a really Happy Birthday and by her comment she obviously adored it. I didn't realise it was her birthday and will be sending my wishes as soon as I can. x
ReplyDeleteTwo very lovely cards. The flowers are grand. [Bunny]`

Oh, Bonnie, what a beautiful card with such a "Loll" feel to it. The stamp image is amazing with the many vibrant, happy colors. What a nice treat for the birthday girl!
ReplyDeleteI get dates wrong too Bonnie, drives me crazy. Then I thought I'd mail Loll's card to her as it seems to take a while to get to her and wouldn't you know it got there early. Well better early than late like I usually am! lol Your cards are stunning and I am so loving that stamp you used. Yes, I think too, it needs to be in your stash as well. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteTwo birthday cards? Equally beautiful, too! Wow, she must be very special! You are a wonderful friend, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteOff to wish Loll an extra day of celebrating!

ReplyDeleteTwo lovely, lovely cards from that one stamp Bonnie! Loving the bright colors and really like the embossed sentiment on Loll's birthday card, and love that half circle aperture you used on the 2nd card too! Think I might need to check out that stamp too...because, well, I probably don't have enough stamps!! :0)
