Sweetest Sound Blues

Hello there crafty friends.


After die cutting these sweet birds, I used a sponge dauber to add
color to the tops of each bird.

Then I blended the color with a damp waterbrush, adding a bit
of pink on the underside.  They ended up being ombre colored
don't you think?

I colored the branch with markers and blended with water.

The background was an oops from a class a couple of months ago.
I thought the embossed feathers worked well with the birds.

    Happy looking blue birds...I feel like I can hear them singing. You sure are good at blending with a water brush...makes image look natural.

    What a darling of a card and yes great ombre effect on those super cute little birds. Me and you both with a mini oops on our cards and I am getting well practised at covering them up....LOL x

    I always love when you do bird cards Bonnie and this one is no exception...it's GORGEOUS!! Love, LOVE the soft blue coloring on the birds and they look so content sitting on that branch. A perfect background too! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! :0)

    It's like looking out my window, Bonnie!!! We have a box with a mama on eggs right now - and it has a camera in it - we're counting down the days for the hatch!
    I adore your bluebirds, and they are perfectly, wonderfully colored - yes definitely ombre! That bit of embossing adds such interest to your panel. Fabulous!

    Lovely blue ombre birds. They are so pretty perched on the branch and singing away. Great texture with the embossed background.

    Your colouring on the birds is fantastic!! Wonderful shading! The card looks great with the bit of dry embossing on the side.

    This is a definite WOW job on your beautiful watercoloring! Your color blending couldn't be more perfect. That embossing folder is so perfect for this and at first sight it appeared to be an embossed tree. Love this.

    Your delicate blue birds look like velvet. I love the beautiful nuances achieved. The subtle partial dry embossing definitely completes this card so well. A beautiful card dear friend. Thanks for sharing it with us at CAS Mix Up! xx

    What lovely blue ombre birds, Bonnie! The way you colored them is amazing, and I love that you added a subtle feather dry embossing to the background. Great fussy-cutting too! (I would have cut off a beak or two!)
