Did you guess that this is for Darnell's Twofer Challenge?
One of my twofers
A card to brighten someone's day. This on it's way to a friend that
just had knee surgery.
I die cut this sunflower in frame twice and used one as a stencil to
sponge ink through with sponge daubers.
I cut the sponged piece to the size of the frame, stamped
a sentiment and glued the sunflower frame on top.
I hope Debbie finds it cheerful
I'm thinking that this one would work for a guy.
Both bees were stamped with Archival ink and heat embossed with
black powder. The yellow stripes were done with a Copic Marker.
The Twofer Challenge is open until the 24th.
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

ReplyDeleteTwo fabulous bee cards, Bonnie. My favourite is the first one, I love the Sunflower die cut. xx
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie. Both of these cards are bee-autiful! That sunflower is incredible, and I love that you've sponged that rich yellowy ink through the petals. That bee is incredible, btw! I think your friend will appreciate this card very much! Your birthday card is clever, too - the honeycomb pattern inside the large hexie was a brilliant idea!! It will work well for a fella, too! Fabulous bee cards! Thanks so much for joining us at the Twofer Challenge!! Bev
ReplyDeleteBoth card are BEEautiful :D The yellow compliments so well that busy bee and the hexagon theme on the second is incredibly CAS. I love those yellow specs to compliment the stripes. What a great TWOfer! xx
ReplyDeleteOh, Bonnie, your sunflower card is kinda spectacular! Looks great in the thumbnail at Twofer, but up close -- wow! And then you have the most perfectly CAS birthday bee which, yes, would make a good guy card, but also for gals. I love it! Your bee is fabulous. I don't know why it actually looks fuzzy, but it does. Thanks bunches for playing along with us at Twofer!
ReplyDeleteI love those bee cards Bonnie, that sunflower is soooo pretty and great honeycomb background on the second
ReplyDeleteWhat a great plump bee that is, Bonnie! He looks fabulous adorned to your sunflower on the first card and to your hexagon on your second card! Your sponged coloring through the sunflower stencil is perfection and I love that it matches the cheerful yellow card base! I also love the crisp black and white color of your birthday card and how you added just a touch of color and interest in the background! I agree it could be for any age and any gender. Thank you so much for playing in Twofer Card Challenge #17! Hugs, Darnell

What a fabulous die and adding the colour through your first layer is such a great idea and then adding the white frame on top.
