Watercolor Vellum Iris

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Here's another card from the retreat.

Susan had us doing different watercolor techniques on vellum.

I die cut this iris from vellum and used Zigs to watercolor.

The trick is to use just a damp brush.  Too much water makes the vellum curl
out of control!

I used my script embossing folder and a die cut frame that was in the box.

The iris is really purple.  My camera is still not cooperating!

I'm taking this over to
ANYTHING GOES: Optional Stamp off the Edge

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  16. Your irises look really amazing. I love their deep purple, it is quite difficult to achieve on the vellum. And thank you for the tip of how to work with vellum.
