Colorful Flutters for CAS Watercolour

Hello friends.

It's time for another challenge at CAS Watercolour.

This month sweet Marcia is our host for the challenge and she chose....

This very colorful background done with Magicals and plastic wrap was in my stash
and I strategically cut out three butterflies from different areas of color.

I wish I could have gotten the shimmer to show up, but
the rhinestones and shimmer together was not very cooperative!

To get the shiny bodies, I used a Versamarker and sprinkled
with Rose Gold embossing powder.  I also used VersaMark and the same
embossing powder on the edges of the dry embossed piece.

A tiny strip of copper foil added a little contrast to thebackground.

In retrospect, it would have looked more CAS with just one butterfly
but those butterflies are stuck there for good!  No going back now.

Our fantastic Guest Designer Amy and Design Team have
some fantastic colorful butterflies to inspire you.
I hope you'll check them out and join us at
CAS Watercolour!

Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

Enjoy!

  4. I loved your perfectly CAS card with All 3 butterflies, Bonnie. It was so wonderful to see all 3 butterflies with the different colors of Magicals. Adding the thin strip of copper foil looks so pretty too. Adding a thin border of heat embossed copper EB Powder frame was another beautiful touch. TFS your beauty, my friend. Hugs..Nancy

  6. This is a gorgeous card Bonnie, and I am loving that you used the three butterflies. It still looks very CAS! I love the embossed background and how you used your Versamarker to do the gold edge. You reminded me that I have those markers as well and need to use them! Love their bodies in the rose gold and the beautiful gems. I can only imagine how beautiful this card is in real life! Hugs, Brenda

  19. Maybe with one butterfly, the card would be more CAS, but they are so beautiful that they deserve to decorate the card with all the flickering three. Now that I've seen them, I wouldn't let any of them be removed :-)
