Inchie Roses

Hi there.  There's still time to play at
CAS Mix Up.


Lovely Joanna is hosting this month and she chose....
My mixed media are Inchies, Stamping, Watercoloring, Embossing with a die

I inked this Magenta stamp with Distress Markers and used my
waterbrush to move the ink.  The MISTI makes it easy to ink multiple colors.

After all the stamping was done, I pulled some of the color
from the leaves to add a light wash.

Then came the scary part.

I was so afraid of messing up the whole thing by cutting.

Fortunately, it all worked out fine this time.

    Beautiful flower tiles, Bonnie. After all your wonderful watercoloring it would be a bit nerve wracking to then have to cut it up into 6 inches, but it did turn out beautifully. TFS Hugs..Nancy

    I love how you stamped/watercolored the roses, Bonnie! They're so pretty! I totally understand how you felt before cutting up the beautiful panel. I feel the same way when I spatter over a finished panel. :-)
    The impression you made with the frame die is subtle but enough to give a complete look. Wonderful idea!

    What a stunning interpretation of the challenge Bonnie - to stamp and then cut. Love the subtle texture with the embossing, and the wonderful script on the sentiment is the perfect accent
    I know the feeling about cutting - I have made wedding and bridesmaids gowns and the first cut is always nerve wracking!

    The first cut is the deepest ...I'm singing, LOL. You're so right. After making this amazingly beautiful watercolour bouquet it is scary to CHOP it up, but you achieved a beauty here. Definitely a special card! xx

    Your watercolored roses are so pretty. Love how you cut them into 6 inchies and backed them with black. It had to make you nervous cutting the lovely design after you did a beautiful job coloring them.

    I love your use of inchies, Bonnie. The black matting really makes your beautifully painted roses pop. I’m not so sure I could have lined this up so perfectly. Beautifully done.

    Love the "window" look on this Bonnie. I can imagine being scared to cut it too. Looks perfect though and is beautiful.
