There's still time to join in.
Susan is hosting our CAS Christmas challenge this month and asked for...
I pulled out some NBUS stamps from Deep Red.
It was a perfect opportunity to ink them up.
I've inked, sprtized and stamped the pine trees.
Then stamped again.
I masked the pines and stamped the hardwoods with gray ink so
they would fade into the distance.
The sky is a wet on wet wash and I sketched the fence in and painted it.
The bird is a bit too big for this scene but he does add some color.
Our amazing Design Team and equally amazing Guest Designer, Lyn
have some awesome inspiration for you.
Check it out then I hope you'll join in at
The challenge is open until the 24th.
Enjoy!

Beautiful winter scene, Bonnie! I love how you stamped the trees to add dimension and your lovely gray fence is perfect! By the way, I think your bird is the perfect size and the pop of red works so well here :) Barb xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful winter scene Bonnie, I love the depth of colour on your big pine trees and I think your cardinal is perfect. Perhaps he's had a few too many treats this fall and put on a little weight :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful winter scene. Beautifully inked, spritz and stamped. I’m in awe of your sketching skills... I thought the fence was part of the stamp. The embossed wood background gives great texture.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fabulous fence you have added to this cold and snowy scene Bonnie - beautiful addition to the trees.

I can't catch up if you keep posting new cards! Love the maple leaf and this one is beautiful. The bird looks fine, he's just passing through and decided to have a quick rest on the fence.
ReplyDeleteIt's a wonderful Christmas scene... one I do enjoy looking at through a window!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous card, Bonnie!

That is the most perfect of winter scenes - the bare deciduous trees, the snowy evergreens, a pale wintry sky, and a bright red cardinal - love it!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful card Bonnie! Love how you've created so much depth with your layered stamping. Gorgeous bright green and that pop of red adds so much. xx
ReplyDeleteBeautiful scene with the most gorgeous colors!!!!!

Marcia used that pine tree stamp and I loved it so I bought it. Now I might have to buy the winter trees stamp too. I love the scene you created with the two together, Bonnie.

ReplyDeleteThe layered stamping definitely added the depth of the pine trees. Your fence was beautifully sketched and watercolored! I thought you stamped it.
The gray inked hardwoods look like they’re in the distance. Great sense of perspective!
