I have a Twofer today.
First up.
I die cut this gal from a scrap of white cardstock then again from some tissue paper
that had been smooshed in watered ink. After it was dry, I scrunched it up and touched
the wrinkles with Versamark, sprinkled on some gold embossing powder and heat set.
I thought it would make an interesting gown and slippers for my angel.
I used some snippets of gold foil for her head, wings and trumpet. The wings looked
a little plain so I put them in my Subtle Embossing Folder and fixed that.
The strips are actually silver and have a nice shimmer. A friend gave me
a bag full of these strips that were left over from a project she did.
For my twofer....
My second gal was die cut from White Glitter paper and again from gold foil.
I place the glitter cut a little off the gold and put her on a piece of watercolor
from my stash of backgrounds.
A few shimmery stars and a heat embossed sentiment finished this card.
I'm joining in with Christmas Kickstart Challenge #25

Two gorgeous angels Bonnie and an inspired look using the prettily coloured and gold embossed tissue and then the more sparkly look on the second, and another great look with the silver strips in the background. x
ReplyDeleteBoth angels are so sparkly and beautiful. Two gorgeous cards, Bonnie.
ReplyDeleteThese are both absolutely GORGEOUS Bonnie! I'm totally in LOVE with your 1st angel card...her tissue paper gown is SOOOOO pretty! Love the wings you embossed too! And your 2nd card is just as pretty with the offset glitter and gold cardstocks! Two lovely, lovely cards my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteThey're both beautiful but I love the way you used the strips on that first card. Beautiful die and beautiful cards.

Oooooo, Bonnie, your cards are gorgeous! Don't even think about asking me to pick a favourite as they are both stunning. Thanks for playing along again at The Christmas Kickstart Challenge, Jo x

A lovely Twofer Bonnie, sparkly little gorgeous angels - lovely gown on the first with golden wings and an extra sparkle with stars for the second...have a fabulous week hugs Robyn
ReplyDeleteWonderful and angelic twofers. My favorite is the second one with that beautiful BLUE background. Love the shimmers.
ReplyDeleteGreat twofer Bonnie, thanks for the reminder about the smooshed tissue paper and embossing powder. Love that card :)
ReplyDeleteBoth of the cards so different and both so perfect!
ReplyDeleteSandy xx
Ahhh, another use of the Subtle EF...life is good...smiley face.
ReplyDeleteHow you did the angel in the first card is so clever and unique. And the contrast between the 2 cards using the same die shows how clever you are at this wonderful hobby!
Two gorgeous cards with those pretty angels. Love how you used the inked tissue paper and gold foil on the first one. The second one is just as pretty in the white glitter paper offset with the gold foil. Love the pretty background you placed her on with the sparkly stars. TFS
ReplyDeleteI can imagine all the wonderful ways you'll use those silver strips, Bonnie - they provide a beautiful backdrop to your well-dressed angel! Layering that little sweetie was a smart move for the second card - all the better to catch the glimmer of that gorgeous Christmas starry sky!
ReplyDelete=]
What beautiful cards, Bon! I love her with her stunning colorful gown and slippers and all that gold and then, WOW, she's just as brilliant in white glitter backed with gold! Both backgrounds behind her are perfection!! Happy Holidays! Hugs, Dolly
ReplyDeleteBoth of these are gorgeous, Bonnie! Love the tissue paper angel as well as the glittered one. I tried using tissue paper but what I had here must be too thin. I kept tearing it. Yours turned out fabulous. Love the background on the glitter angel too.
ReplyDeleteTwo totally different makes with that angel, Bonnie, and they are both so lovely. The tissue dress with the gold is gorgeous against the glitter background and the other is perfect with the star-filled sky.
ReplyDeleteBoth are beautiful! Love the way you used the tissue paper with a bit of heat embossing for the gown on the first one. And a brilliant idea to run the wings through that embossing folder for a bit of texture. And the second one has such a lovely background, perfect for the sparkly stars and angel.
ReplyDeleteBoth your angel cards are Stunning, Bonnie! The tissue and W/C gown for your 1st angel is Glorious along with the gold embellishments. Your second angel with the silver stripes background is beautiful too. I love the gold foil trim behind her glittery CS and your WC background. BTW, I now have the SU 3D Subtle EB folder after seeing you use it quite often. Adds beautiful texture and it really added wonderful texture to your 1st angel's wings. TFS and always inspiring me my friend. Hugs..Nancy
ReplyDeleteExquisite angels Bonnie - love them both, and both cards are stunning.
ReplyDeleteBlessings

I love all the glitter and shine in these two cards Bonnie. Im especially intrigued by the first angel's frock though - I feel that's the very outfit for me on Christmas morning! Vicky x
ReplyDeleteBonnie, these are both stunning! Love the shimmer and shine too
ReplyDeleteTwo beautiful and elegant cards using your gorgeous angel die, Bonnie. I love how you've used the heat embossed w/c tissue paper for your gown on the first card. It really stands out and looks like a piece of art on it's own. And I love the gorgeous blue watercoloured background for your second card. Offsetting the gold layer on the angel is such a special detail. xx
ReplyDeleteThose angels are so pretty, Bonnie! I LOVE the inked tissue gown and slippers! Using the subtle embossing folder for the wing is such a clever idea. The gold peeking from behind the glitter angel of the second card is such an elegant touch! Your watercoloring (background) makes everything on your card look more gorgeous!
