I hope you are still feeling well and feeling creative.
When I saw this month's Twofer Challenge was umbrellas, I was kind of excited
because our February Craft Group Swap was umbrellas and I had done some
ATC cards with an umbrella. Fortunately I'd made an extra for myself.
The background of my ATC was splashed in DOX ink and dried between layers.
I used a coated paper so it has a nice smooth surface! The raindrops are Crystal Drops
and the die cut umbrella has been scored and shaped.
The sentiment is computer generated.
I dry embossed a piece of vellum to pop the ATC on and added a gem
to each corner, because this will probably go to Emmy and she loves gems!
But what to do for my twofer????
For my Twofer...
There were a couple of umbrella tops in the stamp/die case that just happened
to land to look like this. And it just spoke baby carriage to me.
I stamped some motorcycle wheels and added them to punched circles
to make this buggy go and used the umbrella handle to push the rig.
When trying to figure out where to put the sentiment,
I ran out of space and decided to just tie it on.

Your umbrella twofer is fantastic. I would never came to the idea to make rain with the crystal drops. Have to try this out right today. :-)) To make baby carriage out of umbrella? Simply genius.

Great inspiration with your umbrellas. The raindrops are so real and of course, I'm all about baby things so I love this baby buggy. Very clever how you used the umbrella for the top. Love both of these cards.
ReplyDeleteI love the bright and pretty look of the conventional card with the bright red striped umbrella and a great background with the raindrops so wonderfully glossed to make them stand out, and then the baby carriage is an inspired idea and love the look of it with the bright yellow and multi coloured zigzags, and the PB frame suits it perfectly. Fabulous results Bonnie! x
ReplyDeleteWOW...you nailed it this month Bonnie! Your rain card with the cheery umbrella and perfect sentiment is...PERFECT!! And your baby buggy is FABULOUS and I am so in LOVE with it!! Love how you tied the sentiment on the buggy too! Two wonderful and different cards!! Thanks so much for playing along with us at The Twofer Challenge!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteBon-Bon, you made my day with this incredible pram!! Love the frame with the color peeping through and how you used the bolly handle for the carriage handle and motorcycle wheels to make it go! I also love the way you used a snippet of the chevron pp to stamp the Baby sediment and then tied it on with a bow! I know I'm gushing, but this is such a magazine-cover-worthy design! The other one is so-so.
ReplyDeleteJust kiddink! It's also fabulous and I love that you made it from an ATC. All the details of the vibrant pink with the stormy blue of the sky, the glossy raindrops, and the uplifting sediment and just great! I also love the stitched vellum panel; I've never thought to use vellum that way and I thank you for the idea because I've got a lot of vellum to use up. Take care and be safe and thank you for playing Twofer Card Challenge #26! Hugs, Dolly
