I think I'm on time for the MFT Sketch Challenge this time. Usually when I'm
ready to post, the challenge is over. The weeks go by too fast!
This is one of my favorite stamps to color. I use Distress markers to ink
the stamp and added color from Distress ink smooshed on my palette.
To color the strips, I first wet them, and added some of the lightest pink
ink from my palette then dipped it in the other colors that were pretty wet.
I added some black dots in the center of the flowers to tie in the black sentiment.
Wish I hadn't done that. The splatters worked out okay though.
Challenges:
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

This is very pretty Bonnie and love the coral tones you have used and the flower topper looks great with the three strips of paper horizontally across the background and love the way they don't go right across which gives a different interesting look. The splatters and the little black dots in the yellow centres work well I think. x

ReplyDeleteWow !! This is one of my favorite cards from your collection, Bonnie! I love how the color worked with the water. Thanks to watercolor you have managed to capture the extraordinary delicacy of these flowers. I also love the stripes added to the base in similar colors, but with stronger intensity. This makes the flowers seem even more delicate. Yes, this card is extremely arts.
