Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by.
I'd like to you meet Bobby Carl.
Bobby Carl is Jack's creation. He wanted to color the bird for this card.
Of course he needed a name. LOL.
Making the card drains all the creativity out of me. There's not usually
enough left to name anything. What fun to add Jack's creativity!
I hope you're not sick of print making. It makes so much sense to watercolor
the die cuts on the background. I can be messy and it works out fine.
Bobby Carl is going to visit at CAS Christmas where
our friend Christine is asking for...
I'm also adding to a new to me challenge - Christmas 24
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.
Enjoy!

I love this card and the background works brilliantly. The bird is wonderful so much texture on such a small space. How lovely to share Jack and Your creativity in this way. x
ReplyDeleteWelcome to our world, Bobby Carl - Jack has certainly made it a bit more beautiful! [okay, you might have helped a bit with this beautiful holly, and print-making, Bonnie!]

Love that pretty blue bird, uh, Bobby Carl. He looks find perched on the holly and lovely background. TFS
ReplyDeleteHow I would love to live closer to my grandchildren although they are all pretty much grown up.
ReplyDeleteYour card is quite fetching - and I do love that background. Bobby Carl is a good sounding Southern name. It looks as if the holly and bird are on top of glass. I guess you popped up the die cut images.
How old is Jack - his bird is beautiful and is right at home with the pretty green and red holly. I think your card is amazing and love it more than you could know Bonnie!

How lovely, Bonnie (and Jack) ... the soft dreaminess of the die cut print making is in wonderful contrast to the vibrant colours of the leaves and berries ... and to the beautiful blue-ness of Bobby Carl the bluebird! Delicious! Hugs, Anita :)
ReplyDeleteIt's perfect, Bonnie, as is the background -- you have mastered this technique and we don't mind :o) Love this, and the fact that the sweet bird has a name

ReplyDeleteI can hear Bobby Carl singing, he's found bliss in this holly paradise. I do love this watercolour technique, it's so dimensional. Unfocused and focused, so hard to do in paintings. Truly a lovely card! xx
ReplyDeleteJack is so creative ... I love his Bobby Carl that you've added to your holly print card Bonnie! Never tired of the prints ... they make the most fabulous bakcgrounds. This card is extra special with Jack's help. xx

Print making is a wonderful way to add to the background so no apologies needed, Bonnie. Bobby Carl is a beautiful bird and Jack should be proud of his coloring and naming of birds.
