Pine Boughs for CAS Mix Up

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!


I've used a piece of salted background and used this beautiful, Big Bold stamp
that I won during Kathy Racoosin's 30 Day Coloring Challenge in July.

Using my MISTI, I stamped parts of the pine boughs and pine cone with White Pigment ink
placing it off the side.  Then I heat embossed the images.

I used Zigs and my waterbrush to add color to the pine cone and winked the boughs
and cones to add some shimmer.  The camera chooses to ignore the sparkle.

    It's a lovely card, Bonnie! Your salted background is fabulous - reminds me of the photos I love the most, where the subject is in focus, and the background is beautifully blurred! I have no problem imagining the sparkle!

    Hi Bonnie! You know what's funny? Before I read your post, I thought to myself...that looks like a salted watercolor background!! I have been meaning to try this technique and after seeing this gorgeous background, I'm going to give it a shot! This CAS card is really beautiful! Take care!

    OMG...I just received your Gorgeous stamped and heat embossed off the edge seasons greetings card for Christmas 2021, Bonnie!!! I now know I have to have that beautiful Bold Pinecone image from Colorado Crafters...I have thought of getting the stamp, but now I Know I have to have it!!!
