Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
It's time for Maureen's (Scraps of Life by Scrappymo) Rudolph Days where we're challenged
to do a Christmas card to share the end of each month (25th to the end).
I used a NBUS cardinal die that I've cut from red cardstock and sponged
with more color. The background is gesso applies through a stencil.
Challenges:
Rudolph Days - Anything Christmas (25th of the month to the end of the month)
NBUS - Never Before Used Schtuff
Christmas Craft Creations - No Stamping
Thanks for the visit and special thanks for your comments.

What a regal looking cardinal! The sponging with red ink over the red card stock adds dimension and the gesso background sets it off so well.

I just wish we had those Birds in the UK.
Lots of crafty love. Jenny L.
Wonderful gesso stencilled background! Would never think to use gesso, but it looks just as fabulous as embossing paste. Your cardinal pops beautifully against it. Since there is no stamps used, you should enter this over at CCC No Stamping challenge (https://christmas-craft-creations.blogspot.com/2021/04/april-challenge-reminder-no-stamping.html)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful, Bonnie. I can't get over the rich reds you manage to achieve on that cardinal. Your extra sponging really brings a 3-D effect to him. Love the background too as well as the die cut you used for a branch.
ReplyDeleteThat cardinal is stunning against your gesso fancy background!
ReplyDeleteI so want to see a cardinal one day. We did not see any when we were in your state but hopefully, we will go there again one day.
