Embossing with Foil & 3D Folders

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

A while back my friend Marcia did this fabulous post that got me all fired up
to try the technique.

Warning! It's hard to stop at one!

The technique is simple.  Use your 3D embossing folder to emboss a piece
of foil cardstock.  Take a sanding block and lightly sand off some of the shine on
the raised design.  You can cut the A2 card front sized foil in half and get a
second card.  Here's a link to Jennifer McGuire's video showing the technique.

Using the other half of the embossing.

Had to try it with this fantastic blue foil.

So then I had to go shopping for some more 3D Embossing Folders so
I could share this technique with friends.

Barb's cards

Carolyn's cards

Jan's card

Linda's cards

Then Nance came to play.  You can see one of her cards here.

And I'm not through yet!  More to come.

Dies R Us - Anything Goes Dies that are sold at DRU

  21. Are you going to make me buy foil now? Yesterday I cleared out some of my old embossing folders, but I can imagine it filling right back up again. The 3D take up so much more room, sigh. You have some gorgeous folders and you all made incredible cards! These are WOW, Bonnie! I love doing the sanding, but on foil is a whole other beautiful thing!
