Foiled Friend

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I've been having a lot of fun embossing foil!

I love this 3D embossing folder and it makes such a quick and easy card.

A pass through the Big Shot and a light sanding is all it took.

The butterfly was die cut from a snippet left over from another embossed background.

Earlier this week I Zoomed with friends and we all embossed and sanded (or not)
foil and shared what we'd done.  A fun technique is even more fun when shared with friends!

Here's a few more that I've done.  (Did I mention that it's habit forming?)

For the Christmas stash.

And using the other half of the embossed piece.

  3. That technique makes such WOW! cards, Bonnie. I just ordered a few things and wish I'd gotten some foil so I can try it. By the time I get home to my foil stash the trend will be over. Doesn't matter. I love it well enough to be late to the party. ;)

  8. You certainly had a great embossing session using these wonderful colours of foil cardstock Bonnie, and I love both the butterfly cards, especially the slimline shape and EF, and then the pretty snowflakes EF and accompanying embellishments and background embossing with the same beautiful EF. x

  10. Thanks, Bonnie for introducing this new technique. These are all gorgeous and now I'm on a hunt for foiled card stock in color! Love the first one and how the background mimes the texture in the butterfly wing. That couldn't be more perfect. These look so fun to do too!

  13. Having come onto the zoom call late, it's great to get to see your embossed foil cards! I love all of them. The two Christmas ones, especially - that icy blue looks so good with the sanded snowflakes and the white card bases and extra touches.

  19. LOVE these foiled beauties, Bonnie. The first one uses an embossing folder I've had for a while, but not used. Now I need to pull it out and emboss come foil card stock with it! It's gorgeous done in gold with the sanding. And I love it paired with the gorgeous butterfly. All your cards are fantastic. I'm with you, this is very habit forming! :) I'm a bit obsessed with this technique ... thanks to you! :) xx
