Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I love these Glimmer butterflies from Pinkfresh Studios and they've been
sitting in my NBUS box far too long!
The Glimmer System uses heat and foil to letterpress designs.
This time I used mixed media paper so I could watercolor the butterflies.
I also watercolored these dainty die cuts and let the color run over onto
mixed media paper for the background.
Here's a closeup so you can see the shine. Or should I say the glare?

Love your card with that beautiful butterfly. You create such great backgrounds with your techniques and I love it. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteBonnie that glare makes it that much more important that they be delivered - by hand, if possible! Love this sweet little water colored friend of yours - I have two last chrysalis in my dining room as our nights have been so cold! OH that reminds me, I'd better check to see if they've bloomed!
ReplyDeleteHappy Monday - happy card!

Beautiful! And I'm going to call it shine because glare is just too harsh for such a delicate butterfly and card -- perfection!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful card. I love it.

ReplyDeleteTFS your pretty glimmery foil die cut flowers and butterfly, Bonnie. I can just imagine the pretty shine from the foiling, my friend. TFS Love and Hugs...Nancy
ReplyDeleteLove the soft colours and delicate flower die cuts - a perfect contrast to the shine of the glimmer butterfly!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful Bonnie, I love the soft colours from your die cut stamping on the background ♥
ReplyDeleteThe gold foiling elevates that butterfly to high design, Bonnie. I love how you do those backgrounds with the overrun of ink.
ReplyDeleteThis is a very interesting design. My first thought was of a dance - all the elements seem to be dancing and the colors are really wonderful adding to the mood of the card. A very nice card Bonnie and it should go to some special. Beautifully created and made.

So pretty and a great layout. Well done on using the NBUS.
ReplyDeleteOnce again, we can admire your amazing watercolor background. You're perfect at this, Bonnie. I can see the glow of the butterfly, but I'm sure its glow is actually much greater than in the picture.

A beautiful glimmery watercolored butterfly! Your background has a delicately abstract look to it, and I'm thinking that sure is a good way to assure perfect coordination!
