Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I've had so much fun with hearts this month!
This time I used a NBUS stitched heart from Memory Box.
(I told myself that I had more than enough hearts, but this sweet stitched set
had to come stay with me!)
I used the heart that cut out from inside the stitched to emboss with the
Heart Bouquet Embossing Folder and popped it back in.
The poppy flowers were die cut from a piece of floating alcohol ink background.
I doodled around the edge for some more black contrast.
The Time Out Challenge is asking for us to CAS a card by my sweet and talented
friend Michele. Here's her card....
I've been inspired by the stitched heart and used embossing for texture instead of
die cutting, decorated my heart with pink, and stuck with the love theme.

What a beautiful take on Michele's card Bonnie! I love your bit of black with the thin mat, doodles and flower center and string-give a touch of elegance because it is so subtle. Loving the double stitched lines on your heart and the embossing in the background, makes a lovely fanciful heart! Just a beautiful card all the way around! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteBonnie, I love that you kept your sweet flowers tucked inside your sweet, stitched heart! You know by now that embossing is totally my jam - such a good time to use one behind those Poppies? Yes! We do love our Poppies!
ReplyDeleteThank you so very much for playing along...

What a lovely card. So glad to see the dots and dashes...it really adds ti the look and I hope to remember to try it.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Your embossed heat is so pretty stuck back in the but out area. Those pink poppies look perfect stuck in the opening. Your doodling around the edges is a great touch to your beautiful card.
ReplyDeleteOoops, embossed heart, not heat. :)
ReplyDeleteThis one is SO eye-appealing, Bonnie! I understand the need to buy things we really don’t need too! I’m guilty. The pink poppies look fabulous in that heart shaped die cut and love the doodling. Beautiful card!
ReplyDeleteThe first thing to catch my eye was the doodling! I wondered if it was a stamp and you did it! Bonnie, it looks like a stamp and I am so impressed. The poppy on the floating AI looks gorgeous. You can never have enough "heart"(s).
ReplyDeleteYou can never have too many hearts so I totally understand why the new die had to come live at your house Bonnie!! And a perfect CASE for Michele's card...those floating AI pink poppies are SO pretty inside that embossed heart!! Always love seeing your hand drawn doodling too! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
