Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I had a pile of pieces on my table. When I design for a class, I seem to always
have a large pile of "didn't works". This didn't work because the color clashed
with the other cards. It was a hurt your eyes, turn your stomach clash!
It turned into a lovely valentine for one of my daughters though.
The daisies were already die cut and in the envelope with the die.
I've cut two of each and stacked them for sturdiness. The Pussy Willow
sprig is a single thickness.
I love this sweet little heart pocket die! It's perfect for holding a small
bouquet. I've added a bow of organdy ribbon of the same color as the background.
As I look at this, I realize that I should have put the embossed piece the other
way up. Oops! Hopefully I'll remember that next time.

Gotta love when a pile of discards works for something else, and this Valentine for your daughter is BEAUTIFUL Bonnie!! That heart pocket die was one of my favorites last year, so why didn't I remember to pull it out this year?!! Good thing you're here to remind me! :0) The daisies look so pretty popping out of the heart and I love your embossed background too! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteSome like it sweet, sweet, sweet! Your valentine is delightful Bonnie. I really think it is better than getting fresh flowers because these flowers will not wilt or die. You can keep them forever!

Take a pinch of sweet daisies, plant them in a darling little heart-shaped pocket and tie it up in a pretty ribbon! You have taught a beautiful lesson today, Bonnie, on how to use up some very pretty snippets!

Beautiful. Love the daisies in the sweet heart pocket and the colors. A great valentine card for your daughter.
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful. I love that calypso coral color of the paper and ribbon. The pocket heart is the perfect "vase" and the daisies are gorgeous. She is going to flip out over this card. I did!
ReplyDeleteThat die cut heart envelope looks so pretty and those flowers and sprigs are delicate and beautiful x. What a beautiful valentines card for your daughter Bonnie x.
ReplyDeleteSuper card, love the background EF and the pretty posy heart.I bet your daughter will too! x
ReplyDeleteYou pulled all these parts together so prettily for your daughter's Valentine. It's just sweet all over. I love the embossed panel and it took a while to see what you mean about it being upside down. Those "both way" things can be tricky. Nevertheless, I think it looks wonderful!
ReplyDeleteGreat use of all your bits and pieces! Love the daisies coming out of the pretty textured heart!
ReplyDeleteHooray for your extras Bonnie, such a lovely card. The bits and pieces are well curated.
ReplyDeleteSimply adorable. Amazing use of snippets. Didn’t even notice the background was upside down, so as far as I’m concerned, it was meant that way. 😉
ReplyDeleteSo cute Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteA lovely use of your snippets! Those daisies are extra sweet!
ReplyDeleteFabulous card, Bonnie! that is one heart I didn't buy from The Greetery! Foolish me!
ReplyDeleteBonnie, you are the queen of design! If you laid these items in front of me this would never happen. Fantastic work! You do have some amazing supplies there but it’s your talent that puts them together so well. Love this!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Valentine for your sweet daughter using all your beautiful snippets, Bonnie. I LOVE the colors, dry eb background, die cut heart and flowers...all so beautiful and perfectly arranged. TFS my friend. Love and Hugs and...Happy Valentine's Day! Nancy

Lovely Valentine card for one of your daughters, Bonnie! I'm so impressed with how you used the snippets. The white daisies and heart pocket are so pretty against the coral background!
ReplyDeleteI have a drawer full of "didn't works", but I hardly ever use them... You inspired me to take a look at them again and use them! :-)

Love the colour of this card Bonnie, and the white against it is fabulous - a beautiful 'arrangement' in the sweet pocket, topped with the bow, make this one stunning card!
ReplyDeleteStay safe

What a handy pocket for a little posy Bonnie! LOL at the colour clash but the card looks gorgeous on its own and what an amazing bow you made with that fabulous ribbon! (I remember that ribbon - wasn't it part of a SU Sale-a-bration many moons ago?) Vicky x
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bouquet of daisies, and fits perfectly with your little heart. Your daughter will love the card ♥

ReplyDeleteShe loves me, she loves me not. She loves the daisies (my favorite) and pussy willow. Where is that from? Such a darling card, Bonnie, and whichever girl gets it will love it too.
ReplyDeleteLots of dainty details and pretty colors -- this is fantastic, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteThis really caught my eye in the NBUS gallery, Bon. Your daughter will cherish this incredible 3D work of art you just pulled together with your bits. Amazing! It would look so pretty in a shadow box frame. Thank you for inspiring everyone again! Hugs, Dolly
ReplyDeleteThis is so pretty, I love everything about it. Your daughter will love it xx
ReplyDeleteSometimes the best things come together unexpectedly and certainly that is the case with your sweet card Bonnie. The heart and daisies combo is beyond delightful and I love the red embossed background regardless of direction (bet most people wouldn't notice lol!). Thank you so much for joining us at The Flower Challenge!
