Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I have really enjoyed these butterfly hot foil plates and dies.
This time I've foiled on vellum and colored.
I used Copic markers to color on the back of the foiled butterflies and
then cut out with the matching dies.
The background of the card above was debossed with the Art Deco Hot Foil Plate
without foil...just to see if I could.
This one has been debossed with Art Deco Hot Foil Plate
and embossed with Daisy Embossing Folder.
I used a cotton swab dipped in ink to add some color to the embossed image.

Hi there, well this is just heavenly. The foiling on vellum for these flutters reflects the beautiful of their wings. Great job and well worth it. Next week is my last week at vaccination so I'll write soon. Miss you xx
ReplyDeleteNothing could show off foiling like these do. They are stunning, Bonnie. The soft coloring is beautiful and the debossing is terrific on the cards.
ReplyDeleteThese are just beautiful Bonnie. Love the colours you've chosen with the gold foiling. Vicky x

ReplyDeleteWOW what stunners, both of them Bonnie x. The foiling and the colours are beautiful. The scale of the butterfly on your first card looks amazing and love the background of the second. Thanks for the inspiration Bonnie x.
ReplyDeleteOh my, Bonnie, those butterflies are gorgeous. Kudos for trying foil with vellum. It worked beautifully and the resulting cards are fantastic. As I unpacked I ran across mine and now I can't wait to color them. Thanks for sharing your embossed card with us at Just Us Girls.
ReplyDeleteWow, these cards are gorgeous Bonnie! The foiling on the vellum looks stunning, then the coloring with your markers from behind-couldn't be more beautiful. The foiling really makes those butterfly wings show up, who can resist foiling with all the shimmer?! Love these Bonnie, I've seen people do some pretty cards with this hot foiling, but yours are by far superior. Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteGorgeous butterflies. Love the foiling. I should put my set to use. 🙈
ReplyDeleteWow, both are gorgeous butterfly cards, Bonnie! You seem to have mastered foiling! Foiling butterflies on vellum and coloring them with Copic markers worked so well. The translucency of the wings gives a light, fluffy feeling to the butterflies. The debossing in the background is a wonderful touch!
