With Love and Prayers for Ukraine

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

What is going on in Ukraine is beyond disturbing.
So many are displaced, having to leave their beloved country.

I am privileged to know a young man from Ukraine.
He is a high school junior on exchange here.  We volunteer together and
have had a little chance to talk about his family.
Thankfully they are in Poland now in a refugee camp.
Not the best situation but they are safe.

When I saw that Color Hues was asking for cards to honor Ukraine
and to send the card, I had to join in.

I used the colors of their flag and a sunflower.

If you would like to send him a card, let me know through the contact form on my sidebar.

And please keep the people of Ukraine in your thoughts and prayers.

Thank you, my friends.

  3. Beautiful card Bonnie and I'm sure your young friend will love it, along with knowing you are praying for his family and country! It's so hard to watch the news these days, and my heart just continues to break over what the Ukrainian people are facing. I hope and pray this madness ends soon, but in the mean time we will just keep preaching love & hope one card at a time. Hugs. :0)

  14. The background looks just like their flag, Bonnie, and that fabulous sunflower looks right at home in the middle of it. Saying prayers for that young man and his family. It must be difficult being so far from home with all that's happening but I'm so glad his family is now safe

  21. Ukraine is definitely in my thoughts and prayers, I just can't even image what all these poor people are going through. But I'd never wish it on my worst enemy. I am so glad you have an exchange student locally from Ukraine to give your card to. I am so happy that his family is safe, a refugee camp not the best situation like you said, but at least they are safe thankfully. Your card is just beautiful. It represents Ukraine well and I'm sure this young man will appreciate it! Hugs, Brenda

  26. such a gorgeous card. The devastation in Ukraine is heartbreaking and the Devils work. Power and greed are a terrible thing. I think we are all feeling a bit helpless with first dealing with Covid and now watching this unfold.
    hope you are well mf.

  27. We are all moved by Russia's assault on Ukraine. Until a few months ago, none of us would have believed that nowadays someone could attack another nation for some made-up ideas. In a civilized world, such things do not happen, it seems that not all nations have become civilized in the meantime. In Poland, we are wholeheartedly with the Ukrainian nation.
This card is beautiful, very symbolic, because sunflowers are the national flower of Ukraine. A great support card for Ukraine.
    xx
