Cleaning out the UFOs

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I've been busy as a bee in the studio.
Last weekend I was looking for a die cut that I did when Bobby was here.

I looked in my UFO (UnFinished Objects) box.  What a mess!
No die cut (not that one anyway), but a whole lot else!

I should have taken a picture before I relocated things.
Some went in the cases with the stamps, some went in the trash,
some went into the holiday UFO boxes, and the rest are in the process
of being used on cards.

I didn't find that die cut though.

I must have put it in a VERY safe place!

I'll be sharing some of the cards that came from these bits and pieces.
I've done a lot but here are the first two.

The shaker pouch and frame were in the box.  The butterfly (a perfect color match)
was tucked in the envelope with the die.  Two UFOs used for this one.

The background for this card was done with rubber bands.  I had done an
extra when I did this card.  I had stamped with VersaMark and used gold embossing
powder to heat set.  I added some splatters to the design with a retired stamp
by stamping with VersaMark and heat embossing with blue embossing powder.

The sentiment was stamped and heat embossed with a sparkly gold
embossing powder.  Another butterfly from the stash in the envelope perched
on top.

Both butterflies are cut from foil.

Challenges:

  2. Between your UFO's and NBUS you won't have to purchase anything new, just like me! That is so cool you are using what you have. These two cards are so pretty. The butterflies are beautiful and just shine. The rubber band background is a fun one and those matching beads look gorgeous. Very inspiring by using UFO's.

  8. Don't rmeember what that die cut was but I'm sorry you can't find it, Bonnie. Maybe you were meant to go looking for it so you could find the parts to these two fabulous cards. The foil butterflies are beautiful and I love that small shaker window.

  9. Two fabulous cards, Bonnie! Love the background with the rubber band technique, something I haven't tried. Love the added embossing powder spatter. The shaker card is fantastic. I break out in hives when I try those (grin). Finally did one right and the USPS smashed it! Love your color choices on both of these.

  13. Well, you sound like me Bonnie, I will put things away and then can't find them too. lol Don't think my issues are your issues though. My UFO box needs cleaning out as well and need to be used. Your two UFO cards are stunning! Who can resist a shaker and this one is so classy looking. I love the rubber band technique one, I so need to try that sometime. I also love the blue embossing as well as the butterfly die you used. Pray to St. Anthony and hopefully you will find the die cut you are looking for. lol Hugs, Brenda

  18. Two gorgeous butterfly cards Bonnie. Love the shaker card element. I haven't tried one in a pouch yet ... I think I might even be able to handle that. :) And the rubber band background stripe is so perfect with butterflies. Of course, it doesn't hurt that you have THE most beautiful butterfly die. I love that one! xx
