Boo

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Halloween is almost upon us.

Again, my friend Michele sparked an idea with this card and the vellum ghost.

My ghosts were die cut from white cardstock and twice from vellum

I didn't want the BOO cut out of the vellum so I taped a piece of cardstock behind the
BOO on the die.  It embossed a little, but easy to hide.

I used some snippets of glitter paper and a lighter purple for the letters.

I used an old spider web stamp that I've removed from the block and inked with
silver ink.  Then I laid the paper on the stamp to ink it up
and heat embossed with clear powder.

When I set this on my desk, the vellum ghosts light up for a nice spooky look.

  1. Ohhhhh! This is faBOOlous, Bonnie! I love that die and it gives me a giggle to think that ghosts are even afraid of ghosts - or did that spider come home to roost in that web?
    Spooktacular!

  4. This is darling, Bonnie, and you've inspired me to make a similar card. I have a spider web stamp waiting for me when I get home. I just hope I have a ghost die. It's been so long I can't remember.

  7. The silver inked spider's web makes a pretty background for your three spooky ghosts Bonnie, and the vellum does catch the light beautifully, and the the cut out boo looks great in a coordinating purple with the green glitter paper behind the O's. x

  12. Your 3 ghosts are so cute, Bonnie! I love them! When I saw Michele's card, I thought using vellum for a ghost was a great idea, and now you layered the vellum ghosts. You two are so creative! The googly eyes and glittery BOO make the front ghost special, and you never know he serves to cover the bellies of the vellum ghosts. The shiny spider web is the perfect background!
