Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
Today is a special friend's birthday.
I hope it's a very special day for her.
I recently got this embossing folder/die combination and I think it's going
to become a favorite.
The berries were die cut from mixed media paper so I could watercolor them
with my Zigs. The die cuts 3 different branches. I embossed them before coloring
and found that low tack tape was a must to get the die cuts to sit perfectly (or
nearly perfectly) in the embossing folder.
I found that the embossing folder is a perfect size to fit on an A6 size card.
Card Recipe
Stamps: Many Everyday Messages (HA)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black
Paper: Neenah Solar White, Mixed Media (Strathmore)
Other: Pepperberry EF/Dye Bundle, Zigs CCRBM (Lt Green, Green, Brick Beige, Lt Violet, Purple)

This is a fabulous card and so elegant with the pretty berry branches and the dies too Bonnie. I love the way you have beautifully watercoloured them, and placed them over the white embossed background which really makes them pop, and finished with a lovely sentiment. x

ReplyDeleteWOW Bonnie! This is exceptional especially since you embossed your die cuts adding so much to this. Your painting is spot on! This is incrediby GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteI would be willing to have another birthday this year to get a gorgeous card like this. Those purple berries are so eye catching. They are not berries I'm familiar with so it's delightful to get to see them.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty, Bonnie!
ReplyDeleteThis is so special, Bonnie! I LOVE the pepper berries design. Having the embossed background with the die-cut and embossed sprigs of pepper berries gives this card so much depth and dimension. The colours you've used reallly pop off the white background. I believe the artistry of your card will inspire everyone who sees it. Amazing work, my friend. Love, Loll
ReplyDeleteThose berries just pop off the page! Love your beautiful card Bonnie.

Wow, super extra gorgeous, Bonnie! My jaw is dropped. Hold me back, there are so many products to love in this industry. A person like me could go broke, especially when a person like you is continually inspiring!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a striking card Bonnie! I love the way the flowers just pop off your embossed background. Loving those flowers and loving that embossing folder-both so beautiful. When using your Zigs on this card, do you put the "ink" down on something then pick it up with your brush, or do you just color with the Zigs right to the paper?? I love the colors you chose and the blend! Hugs, Brenda
ReplyDeleteIt's beautiful Bonnie. Your watercoloring of those die cuts looks amazing xx
ReplyDeleteSo gorgeous in those colors, Bonnie, and atop the crisp white embossing - love this!!
ReplyDeleteBeautifully designed, Bonnie. Love the die cut blooms against the embossed panel.
ReplyDeleteVery pretty card for your special friend's birthday. I know she will love it.
