Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I'm not much for clubs as I tend to be pretty specific with my wants, but
the 3D Embossing Club at Spellbinders drew me in.
This was the January folder.
I love that these embossing folders are large enough for a A7 or a slimline card.
This is for my sister-in-law and it was so quick and easy.
I embossed on blue cardstock by rubbing a damp baby wipe on the inside of the
folder before embossing. I got such a wonderful deep impression.
A little white pigment ink on the raised images added some depth and
some Distress Foundry Wax in the centers was all the coloring needed.
It seemed a perfect spot for this Dreamy Butterfly to land.
I hope she likes her card and I can't wait to play with the
February embossing folder.
Card Recipe

ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous card Bonnie and a beautiful 3D embossing folder. Love the color and I love the embossing highlighted with the white ink. The wax on the centers of the flowers looks amazing. Loving that butterfly too! I'm not into clubs either, but got sucked in myself to build some glimmer plates in my foiling library. I've been eyeing up the 3D folders they have been coming out with too. Thinking that I should have signed up for that. LOL I am really loving this one, I'm sure your SIL will love her card! Hugs, Brenda

So soft and pretty, Bonnie. I need to try this technique on some of the folders I have.
ReplyDeleteSpellbinders really has had some gorgeous embossing folders lately, so I can see why you were drawn to the club Bonnie! Your card turned out absolutely BEAUTIFUL with just the touch of white and gold added to the blue, and of course that lovely butterfly finished off the card just beautifully! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful, there are some really stunning embossing folders out there at the moment and I think Spellbinders have some of the best. Love the contrast from the white butterfly xx
ReplyDeleteLucky you! It was sold out by the time I tried to sign up. Your card is beautiful and your SIL will love it.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous with a capitol GORGEOUS! I've been looking at that club and trying to decide. My one concern is that I'd amass too huge a collection and run myself out of house and home. Now you've got me looking at it again, all thanks to this most lovely card.
ReplyDeleteI am trying to do some catch up and so happy I did not miss this post. So pretty - very soft. From the color blue to the embossing work, this butterfly was in for a soft landing!

WOW! This folder is amazing. The flowers are exceptionally pretty. White wipes increased the 3D effect, and gold wax beautifully marked the flower centers.
