Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
A couple few years ago Darnell posted this card (scroll down) that she did in
one of our Zoom sessions. I was enamored with that stamp and ordered it.
And it sat, and sat, and sat in that NBUS box.
Finally it has seen ink!
I inked the flowers with mini inkpads and markers, lightly spritzed and stamped.
By using the MISTI, I could stamp again to get more definition.
The wash was done wet on wet with Tumbled Glass re-inker.
I think I'll try it in some other colors and maybe use it on a calendar page next year.

ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend.
WOW again! Love the definition you achieved, Bonnie and LOVE the color. The white jelly roll pen did a great job of bringing out details. I have done this stamp but had to resort to coloring the whole thing with pencil. This is GORGEOUS!
ReplyDeleteOh Bonnie this is just GORGEOUS! Thanks for letting us know how you created it ... I never thought about adding extra definition by using my platform ... hmmm ... learn something new every day!! LOL Purple being my favorite color, I just HAD to stop by and leave you some love! This is beautiful Bonnie, and I love the colours with the pink and violet and the strong green for the leaves, and a great technique using the colours straight to stamp and spritzed for this really pretty watercolour look, and with a pretty echo in the background and a super idea to use the white gel pen to add some highlights. We are all guilty of buying things which sit and wait for their turn and some wait a lot longer than others...lol. x
ReplyDeleteOMG!!!! This is gorgeous -- I really want to move to Cary and be able to visit your classes and groups. I do better when I can actually see something being done. I have firmly told myself I will NOT buy anything else and then I see something I love and feel like I will surely die if I can't have the product!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful Easter card and I really do love it!!
Sandy xx
Oh my, this is absolutely BEAUTIFUL in the purple Bonnie and the background is just as lovely too with all that soft color! I'm just curious though why you didn't make 14 of them like Darnell did?!! Haha! When you get results like this though, it would be hard not to make another one! Lovely, lovely card my friend!! Hugs. :0)
