Golden Snowflakes

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Last month's Group of Seven Cardmakers used stenciling over heat embossing.

I love this technique but my first try was a bust.

The embossing powder didn't stick well to the ink.

I went ahead and stenciled a tree over and if you look close you can see the bits
of white embossing. They do not look anywhere near what the snowflake stamp looks.
(I used a handmade stencil using vellum and a die.)

So I stamped again with gold ink and used gold embossing powder then fussy cut
the tree out.

I had a gold die cut snowflake in the box and popped that and a sentiment strip on top.

I think it makes a passable Christmas card and used up a discard piece.

Challenges:
ABC Christmas - U is for use it up
Peace on Earth - ATG Christmas

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Hand Drawn Snowflakes Bold Prints (HA)
Ink:   Field (SSS), Encore Gold
Paper:   Neenah Solar White
Other:  Gold EP, Stacking Pennants Die (Honey Bee),

Enjoy!
