Memorial Day

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

Today is a day for remembering those that have fought for our freedom
and continue to keep us free.

Edited to add:  I colored these poppies with Distress re-inkers then added
touch up with watercolor pencils.

Also, being Monday, I'm joining Darnell with her I.D.E.A.S. where
the fourth Monday is Anything Goes.

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Brilliant (PB), Sentiment Strips (Alt)
Ink:   Memento Tuxedo Black, Distress Re-inkers (Festive Berries, Scattered Straw, Peeled Paint, Tumbled Glass), Whisper White
Paper:   Mixed Media, Black, Neenah Solar White
Other:  Curved Stitch Die (PB), Caran d'ache Supracolor Pencils (Ivory Black, Dark Green, Brown), Micron Pen, White EP

Enjoy!

  6. Today is definitely a day to honor the fallen. Too many people have died so we can have the life we have. That includes policemen and firemen. To all of those who are serving now, I salute you and thank you. Aren't poppies the flowers the British use for remembrance?
I love the colors you have used for these flowers - absolutely beautiful!
