Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
The Just Us Girls Challenge had me stumped. I was in the process of looking for my
candle dies that I thought might work, when I came by this set from The Greetery and I
had an Aha moment.
I die cut all these little images from Neenah Solar White and colored them
with blender brushes and Simon Says inks.
After getting all the parts together, I had fun laying them out in the "curio cabinet".
I had an oops and mixed up the wings so I cut some more to get the right color
on the right wings and ended up with another set.
And after cutting the frame, I had all those little cut outs laying there.
So I made another card.
I sponged the pieces with what was left on the blue blending brush, then
embossed them and arranged them on a piece of black cardstock.

Two great cards with this layout and all the fun images. Your coloring looks perfect. I can't decide if I like the black background or the white background best. They both look fabulous. TFS
ReplyDeleteI love both cards! These are one of my favorite sets of dies, and you've inspired me to move it up in the To Create list! I love the subtle background on the second card.
ReplyDeleteTwo fantastic cards Bonnie using these pretty die cut butterflies and bee, and love the shells and foliage on the first, and ferns with some extra cute bees on the second, and love the way you have framed it on the first, and the black background on the second really makes everything pop. x

ReplyDeleteBoth of these are soooo pretty Bonnie! I love the first one with the colors from the mood board, but I like the 2nd one in different colors and the black framing just as much as the first! Way to go getting two cards from one play day...LOVE them both!! Hugs. :0)

ReplyDeleteI know I'm late, Bonnie! But I've been without power for two days - had to come to Tom's lab to catch up!
ReplyDeleteTwo darling creations - bet you have oodles of darling die cuts to fill many more of those curio frames!

Love these cards with all the little sections and the great butterfly dies!
ReplyDeleteGosh, I love both these cards so much! It's fun to see them because I have similar dies, some of which I haven't used yet. There are so many things you can put in those spaces. I love the frame on the first card. Anything nature themed is close to my heart.
ReplyDeleteBonnie these cards are beautiful. I love the pieced backgrounds that you layered the flora and fauna on. My mind is spinning now.... thanks for the inspiration
ReplyDeleteBlessings
Maxine

Thank you for joining us this week!
I sure do like the design of this card and I really like the black frame. It would make a good memory card - summer 2024 - all the little things one can pick up at the beach.
