Hello Bee

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I found this design piece in my UFO box.  I think it was a leftover from a class.

It only took a few minutes to put it on a summertime card.

I didn't use to like bees, but I've learned how important they are to our environment and
worry when they aren't covering my lantana.  It seems like they're not as plentiful as they
used to be, but there are always some enjoying it.

Here's the card we did in a 2022 class.

Challenges:
Just Us Girls #735 - Word Week - Summertime

Card Recipe
Stamps:  Honeybee Home (SU), Thick and Thin Background (MFT)
Ink:   Bashful Blue, Crushed Curry
Paper:   Neenah Solar White
Other:  Scallop Borders (PPP), BP Fancy Sentiment Strips Plate and Die, Honey Bee Blossoms Die (SU), Hexagon Element Stencil made from Die (SSS), Small Hexagon Cluster Die (SSS)

Enjoy!

  6. This is a really pretty card using up a piece from your bits box Bonnie, and ditto the one you did at the class back in 2022. I was the same as you about bees but still don't like them buzzing around me but they are important to the environment...can't say I feel the same about wasps though..lol. x

  11. These are sweet cards! I love the die cut honeycomb piece over the stenciling. The little flowers are really cute on the other card as well. The scalloped edge with the stripes is such a pretty background for your cards. It's always great when you find pieces leftover from something else that you can use up on a new version of a card. Great success on these cards.

  13. Both are absolutely beautiful Summertime cards Bonnie! My hubby worries about the absence of bees around us too...I think it must have something to do with climate change...grrrrr! It was so fun to talk to you this morning!! We will definitely have to do it again and actually craft together when we do! Michele and I always have a great time together and I know you would fit right in with us! Hugs. :0)

  15. Two bee-utiful cards bonnie - love both versions .
It's just past mid-winter here, and I was working in the garden today and I had a bee buzzing around me! The day was warm, but I didn't think it would be warm enough to bring the bees out!
    Blessings
