More Die Cut Poppies

Hi there.  I'm so glad you stopped by!

I wanted to use my poppy die before I put it on the shelf and I loved the
colors I used for the last poppy card, but I went monochromatic on this one, using
just Calypso Coral.

I didn't do the watercoloring on a mixed media piece and tried to add the
same background look as on  my last card.  It does not work as well on
regular cardstock!

I hope I can remember that!

I die cut and colored another set with yellow.

The background was in the box.  I'm not sure what die was used.  I'm pretty sure
it was was done by a friend.  With the yellow peeking through, it made a
perfect background for the yellow poppies. This die cut fern is another favorite
die of mine.

The Group of Seven Cardmakers are showing monochromatic cards this month
so I'm adding the first card to that gallery.

  7. Two beautiful cards Bonnie. The yellow poppies are just as pretty as the coral poppies. Great backgrounds on each card. TFS

  8. Two more fabulous poppy cards Bonnie, and I love the coral colour you used and a pretty arched die cut and dry embossing in the background, but I think my favourite is the sunny yellow and I love the yellow hexagons accompanying the pretty yellow flowers and a lovely sentiment to finish. x

  11. They are both gorgeous. Wish I could remember things that I learnt. I usually have to make the same mistake several times before it stays in my head! xx

  12. I love poppies, both in the garden and on cards. Yours are really beautiful, especially the second one done in that fabulous yellow with the great balance from the corner die.

  13. Bonnie these are gorgeous - love the vibrant colours on the yellow card. The die used on the background panel is one of the four in the set from Memory Box called Distressed Baptisia Collage
The peach coloured card is also very pretty
