Hi there. I'm so glad you stopped by!
I don't usually post twice in one day, but I had a few minutes and this challenge
was going to close soon.
I love this poem and have looked and looked for a stamp with it that I like.
Finally, I did it on the computer and printed it onto mixed media paper.
This sweet bird stamp has been in my NBUS box for a few months and had been
calling to me. It seemed the perfect pairing for Emily Dickenson's poem and for the
Just Us Girls Challenge. It also works for the Penny Black Challenge.
Challenges:
Just Us Girls #744 - Word Week (Hope)
Penny Black Saturday - Anything but a Square
NBUS #66 - Never Before Used Schtuff

ReplyDeleteI'm so happy to see this poem again, Bonnie - you're so right! Someone should make it into a stamp - with all the PB birds why haven't they?
ReplyDeleteSuch a beautiful card with a precious little bluebird - sometimes they blather on so long I wish they'd stop... not really!

Beautifully designed and painted. I have a stamp that has only the first line of this poem by Waltzing Mouse stamps. Sad that it didn’t come with the entire verse. LOVE that you did it on the computer and what a wonderful font you chose!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect image to go with that poem, Bonnie. I got some PB birds and now I need some branches to put them on. Your darling bluebird is on my favorite - a birch tree. Thanks for sharing your card with us at Just Us Girls.
ReplyDeleteI have a stamp (somewhere) that has just the first line of this poem too, but I love the whole verse! It goes perfectly with your sweet blue bird and branch...lovely, lovely card Bonnie!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteSuch a sweet little bluebird Bonnie, and I love the birch tree with leaves beginning to turn and drop and some beautiful accompanying words by Emily Dickenson. x

ReplyDeleteEveryone loves this verse written so many years ago. Your bird is so sweet and I am a bird watcher. Someone is obviously feeding this bird as she is a little chubby. Wonderful card Bonnie. I am amazed at the number of cards you make and all so creative - perfect showcase for your painting techniques.
